part 2I started sketching this in Nov last year for a competetion that ended in February. Lost my steam (pun fully intended) half-way through and I wasn't playing L4D2 as much as I had been, but I've got a bit of enthusiasm back now and have started colouring them. Orange is beautiful. Just remember that.

I've cut it into a 4panel comic... but it's more for conveniences sake than anything else. Kinda works... might have a 5 panel one somewhere along the line.
I guess I should say that this is all Valves stuff and I tried to use as many catch-phrases as I could remember. Especially from that one guy who must have set the dialogue prompts up to his WASD, cos he just wouldn't STFU.

I found page 18 fav+ on someone's list and thought that it looked really interesting. So, I clicked page one and found out that not only was it interesting but it was a damn good read too.
I really enjoyed how you started the characters out by themselves, doing their own things and then pulled them all together. The beginning you created made a lot of sense and I could honestly believe this is what happened in those moments before the game began.

I was keeping as true to the game as possible. If I'm really keen I'd like to try and make a custom map out of it.
I have the authoring tools but game level design takes so much work. One baby step at a time I guess.

Now, see, if you made this into a custom map I'd so dl it and play the shit out of it. xD I'm a sucker for custom maps. I fail at putting them together, though.

Well, I've only played in the Authoring Tools so far, but it seems like because I have an outline of a story, it's easier to try and build a level. "Easier" as in I have some kind of direction. My respect for level designers went up a significant notch when I realised how much work goes into just placing objects. Also when I realised there's all the components of a house, but not a generic house I could put in.
...it's gonna take a while.
