Umm, I don't know. Originally I wanted to add it to the overall map, but I had the problem of using the old base as for the other map and that one didn't include Albania and I didn't find a nice base map to draw it from scratch.

I think I'll either do that or in a different map. 

I might actually change some details of the map, probably one or two flags.

It would be interesting if it was a little side window in this map (like for example some maps of Spain have the canaries or the US has Hawaii).

Also, how did you come up with the symbol on the Trieste flag?

I thought about that, but that would make more sense if Albania was something akin to a territory (liek for example an Italian North Africa) rather than a constituent part of Italy, which it is (thanks to pervasive cultural genocide and pro-assimilation policies since the 1870s)

The halberd is the OTL symbol of the city, it's in Trieste's shield. However after consulting with some Italians I'll probably change it and instead use the Friulian eagle instead.

But then why is it a Federal Republic on your map?

What do you mean by federal republic? Italy is a Confederation of both monarchies and republics. Albania (or Epiro, as I might rename it) was conquered around 1870 something and underwent a massive process of Italianization (which also meant making the population Catholic). And since the map is from 2013 in this universe, well Albanians feel as Italian as Venetians do, perhaps even more.

By territory I meant some land detached from the mainland or a colony. If that's what you meant by federal republic.
