Description I thought this one was pretty cute. I've been meaning to do a few more Harry Potter emotes, they seem pretty popular.
I took about 40 mins on this to sort out the pixelling and animation. During making it, I changed things like the colour of the person getting sorted from a red to a blue. I wanted a neutral gender, so that I didnt have to repeat the animation with another colour or anything. Ah laziness gets the better of me. The hats went through a few changes as well, with my first try it was absolutely huge. I suppose it could have been funny to completely cover the little guy's face, ala Colin Creavey's as I recall.

Anyway, I have to get back to packing now. 65 frames, hope you enjoy.

this rocks my socks! A bigger hat would have been amusing as well, but harder to tell what was going on. When I starting watching what the little emote was doing, I thought a text frame would pop up with GRYFFINDOR! or RAVENCLAW! etc. etc. It'd be great if you could get it to rotate all 4 houses.

I did experiment with different sized hats, but this one turned out the best.
Although it doesnt have a speech bubble or anything, you can see the hat shouting out something after considering.

Oh no it won't work as an official emoticon anywhere, unless it gets added to the list- very unlikely.
You can still post a thumbnail of it in dAmn or in your journal and it usually comes up pretty well.
