Hello! I decided on making a paint tool sai tutorial to show people my techniques. I've divided them up. This is the basics of sai, how to use it, and how to get inspired. Hope you like it!

How can you change the colour of your lines...? I made a sketch I like, but sketched it in all black and I've seen people do it before where they change line colours so by any chance do you know how...?

i think you can do that by editing the hue/saturation but im not sure

Yes, okay. So you have to make another layer and click clipping mask. It should be around the new layer button. You can then use the bucket tool or the pencil tool to fill it up. You can also use this technique to shade skin/hair/etc. and stay in the lines. Hope that helped!

It's real simple. Just use a color other than black, like pink, and use the pencil tool to sketch things out beneath the lineart layer. If you're confused about anatomy and whatnot, there's some great tutorials here on dA. Hope that helped! c:

Pencil tool. But you should be able to create it. You'll see blank spots in the box where you have those tools. I believe if you right click one of the spots, it'll ask you what tool you'd like to create.
