How do you get the water color to stay on the paper the way you want? i tried a piece with bristol and water color and the paint wouldnt stay in one place. Or are you not using brushes

I use brushes. And the important thing is, i work with few water.
That give me more control ^^

The way, how she closes her eyes, bites her lips and grabs her blanket is almost heartbreaking.
Also love the red additions in the nearly monochrome lines - that's an unusual style you don't see so much.
