Number 83#, and moving right along with our Retro Halloween coloring!

If you google any of the old vintage novelty Halloween items from the turn of the last century until about 1955, you will see an interesting, occassional trend of not only the typical color scheme of black and orange, but really different inclusions-such as poppy red and bright yellow.

In this one, we see the yellow, orange and green combination, alongside the black and white. Opted for an all black kitty-perhaps a younger feline, judging by the petite size.

It felt odd using those colors, but right at the same time, because I do enjoy seeing how creatively colors were used in those old postcards, masks and cutouts of the older decades.

I like to think the Angel here has barrettes with a piece of thin, green glass in them. I wouldn't mind duplicating such a thing in real life, actually-in different colors!
