Exactly. The only other people I got in the whole entire game for a acutal long period of time were Jerico (Who is useful in the begining) and Sargent RL-3 (I use him to carry my stuff)
Also, Dogmeat is cool.

Yeah, it can feel like that later on in the game when you've got all the best gear... but at the start, when you're just a noob vault dweller with nothing more than a hunting rifle and a police baton, it's a wee bit harder...!

They are added with the expansion "Broken Steel." You need to download that for the "Feral ghoul reavers", "albino rad-scorpians, "Enclave hellfire troopers" and "super mutant Overlords" to appear when you're high level.

When I went up against it, it went down quite easily, thanks to a few well-aimed mini-nukes!
