Description
To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print, please click HEREI visited this site a few days prior to making this image. It was, for the most part barren and lifeless. A few days of summer rain storms moving across the rockies were enough to spur this rebirth in the mountains. Summers at this altitude are extremely short, but for a few weeks in July the mountainsides come alive with an amazing array of colors.

This is utterly gorgeous. I love the colors and I love how the sun draws your attention.
Fantastic composition
Did you use f/16 to get that sun-beam effect?

f22 i believe.. the 17-40 doesnt make the greatest sun stars, but at 22 you can get decent ones

This looks like a health bar commercial. I have expect to spot a jogger holding a Nutri-Grain bar pausing to enjoy the sunrise. Haha. But it's beautiful.

Your photography remind me why I love my home state so much, especially when I haven't been up to the mountains in a while.

That is a beautiful meadow. I think meadows are one of my favorite places in nature, especially when they are left to grow wild. I love the wild weeds and flowers. This is the perfect time of day to shoot one too. Great job!
