Dear Nate Zeman,
I'm a long-time fan of your work, as it's been an inspiration for me. I've drawn a pastel study of this piece, and I'd like to ask permission to show it in a small art show (local library). In the unlikely event someone would like to buy it, may I sell the work? If you wish, I could split the profit with you. You can see the work on my Conceptart.org sketchbook: [link] age=3
Of course, I gave you credit for the photo. Just scroll down to see it.

I love the warm lighting on the barn in stark contrast to the blues in the remainder of the image.

Wonderful photo. The soft light of (dusk/dawn) gives this a pleasant glow and the mountains as a backdrop is breathtaking. Really a great sight to see in your photograph as I am sure it was to see in person. Nicely done.

I do really love this kind of images.
Just a simple question?
Is that an HDR?
Or a RAW converted?
Or a jpg straight from camera?
my best regards

phenomenal.
absolutely beautiful
I have a question -- why did you go with Canon rather than Nikon?
Was it that you already had lenses and started with Canon or is there some aspect of Canon that you prefer over Nikon?
Just wondering.

I just bought a Nikon D80 -- so I'll be going that route. Still, I've done amazing work with everything from a Canon AE-1 to a Konica Autoreflex-T -- so, bottom line, it ain't just the camera.
I'm going to be playing around with a Holga this fall!

yeah people put waaaaay too much focus into brand of camera.. its really just a matter of personal prefference

it truly is. i wanna make a pinhole camera and see what it can do! i even make my own contact print negatives on overhead projector transparencies and develop them in a dark room -- there are so many ways to make photography come alive and enter awesome visual dimensions.
(don't get me wrong -- I do mostly digital, but film is awesome and kodachrome slides even more so!)
