Telluride, Colorado is mostly noted for its ski resort, Tourism, giant homes and celebrity residents. Anyone who visits though, will surely see that they are gazing upon some of the most beautiful mountain landscape in the country. Located in the heart of the mighty San Juan Mountains, Telluride sits in a valley surrounded by dramatic peaks and forests, that are particularly amazing in autumn. Like most mountain towns in Colorado, Telluride's roots can be traced back to the gold rush days of the late 1800's. Relics of the past still dot the mountainsides. One doesn't have to wander far outside of town before they stumble upon scenes like this old barn, still sitting in a meadow, with a beautiful autumn backdrop.

What a range of color in the aspens. I still cannot wait to make it up there someday.

yeah they were so nice this year. typically theyre only yellow but there were a lot of reds and oranges showing up this year

The aspens out here were fairly disappointing. Almost all were mustard brown with some really nice pockets scattered here and there. I think I need to make this trip out there next fall.
