Description
To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print please visit my website @ WWW.NATEZEMAN.COMSo I got to this lake a little later than I wanted to... Just as the sun was setting. I looked ahead and saw a couple standing right near where I wanted to take my photo. Even from where I was standing I could tell that it was a guy about to propose to his girlfriend. Not wanting to disturb them I went to the other side of the lake hoping I'd find another angle to shoot. The sunset came and went and I didn't find a good spot to capture it. A few minutes later though, after the sun had set ...the sky lit up bright pink for just a few minutes. Kinda funny because I really like this shot and I definitely wouldn't have gotten it under normal circumstances. Aftwerwards I congratulated the newly-engaged couple and they had me take a couple pictures of them.

this is beautiful.
i walked up on a couple in the same situation and said something. immediately after i opened my mouth i wanted to slam my head on something for what i said (not good timing!) i had no idea that he was going to propose and gave me the oddest look... i clearly ruined their moment ><
good story though. romantic.

The sunset in the distance mixed with the transparency of the water closest, revealing the bed, is beautiful... ^^

Great image...and a great story to go with it.
I'm curious, how could you tell he was about to propose? Was he on one knee or something?
When I proposed to my wife, I'm pretty sure neither of us saw it coming

at least you had some extra cash raised by the photo session of the couple. rare but I would love a session after sunset in the wild.

well, that makes difference. Nice you helped them out. Now they have some nice shots for their albums. And maybe they can buy your landscape as could remind them the proposal

haha very nice. I find my best shots are never under normal circumstances -- just what nature gives me when I don't expect it.
