Description
To Purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print, please click HEREA cow moose stands in a pond feeding on aquatic vegetation. These animals are very at home in the water and are surprisingly adapt swimmers. Moose, the largest member of the deer family have extremely long legs, which aid them in their natural habitats. Aside from water, moose are often found in areas with deep snow and tall grass.

my cousin who lives in the yukon got two moose a couple weeks ago.. not a cow moose, because you can't shoot those, but either way, i was like D: except that's what they eat up there apparently - she used to be a vegitarian for the majority of her life, but now she loves moose... i don't know if i could do it, especially if i ever wanted to take photographs, i could NEVER bear myself to bring down such a beautifullly powerful creature! lol, novel over, this photo is beautiful and i'm so happy that you're sharing it up here, you ARE talent at it's core ;]
and patience, i think you must epidimize that too.

The light on the water and the brilliant focus on the dropping water from her mouth is amazing. I would really love to see a moose in the wild.

I love the way America has such big animals - though in some ways I am glad we don't ..wemight have to watch out for snakes and feral dogs/pigs but at least we aint gonna get chased by a bear...but I love your bears...this moose is so pretty; especially dribbling water!

I guess it all depends on what you're used to. I'm much more comfortable hiking around country with large predators like bears than I would be in the Australian bush with snakes and all those things!

Well even I have to think carefully before I start wading around in the long grasses here - we are completely in the Ozzy out back bush - but by the same token I hardly ever do see snakes- you just know that they're there...and anyway they are quite magnificent. I see far more of them at home than when out walking - everything from large pythons to lots of the deadlies - get them in the house too, that does give me pause! My house is kind of holey - termite eaten - so they have no trouble popping in for a visit.

Wow, it's lookin' right at you :0
I really love the water coming from it's mouth for some reason, looks really pretty :Γ
Moose are so huge, I would be frightened of one looking at me like that, even if it didn't have horns.
