Description
I don't care that your face is smashed and squishedor that your nose has been chewed off,
or that your shirt is threadbare and faded,
or that the Velcro on it is so worn that it doesn't hold together anymore.
I don't care that your once soft, white fur
is now dingy and matted
or that your ears are slightly asymmetrical
Because you still feel the same in my arms
when I hold you
and you still give me that safe feeling no one else can
when I hug you.
You can still hold all of my secrets.

I have a toy just the same. Except mine was a cat I chewed all the whiskers off.

Nice touch on emotions and childhood memories.
Even an outside perspective can relate. -remembers climbing trees with one hand clinging to the furry arm of 'cool cat' (was my stuffed leopard which had long, floppy limbs and tail)- Geez, I still love that cat. Though, I haven't had him as long as you've had your bear. That's really incredible that you've had that bear for 22 years.
