But I was wondering how did you get him black at the last but one step?

its the very first layer (the gray one left) that I just coloured then^^

Ah Ok, so you layed a gray layer above all the others and use a blendig mode?
Sorry for asking, but i was searching a long time for a method to get a good black look to a greyscale picture.
