Funny, because I love Zeena x Sonic. (Otherway around?) But people think DD and Ahuizotl are the only ships that this fandom ever do for whatever reason.

For the most part as of right now, the ages hasn't been established still. Been like that since Lauren Faust was in the show before Hasbro booted her.

She said that even herself can't decide what age. Seeing as how they are in feral horse anatomy. That, and seeing as how certain cartoon* characters don't age too. (She compared Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny, as they are completely timeless!)
 
It's a controversial topic, especially but mostly when putting in on ancient-type villain/or any character to a "thousands of years ago" trope.

I guess it's up for fans and non-fans alike to decide what age they are for now.

Nothing too much is revealed about Ahuizotl as far as him goes. A siding from the official mlp novel books that stars Daring Do. Even that, there's not much background really. Fanon can do whatever they want. In other words, people can believe whatever of the characters by their belief. But I imagine Ahuizotl to be Ra's Al Ghul of the universe in terms of age.

I really want to do a tumblr RP thing, but I'm... too inexperienced as an artist, let alone a "comic" artist to actually do it.

Anyways, same here with the ancient cultural BG. And again, you can believe whatever you feel. I try not to make my HC all half-assed tbh, even if I always keep my silly overview for myself.
