Description
I was inspired by some awesome artist that have been drawing on toned paper. I still need practice working like this but I wanted to show the results of some recent experiments.Creature is a Deep One from Lovecraft's story "The Shadow over Innsmouth".
Pencil and colored pencil on toned paper.

Muscle-shading on toned paper is . I particularly like the highlighting effect on this one, too.

Toned paper does open all sorts of possibilities for shading including muscle tone. I'm looking forward to doing more works with it.
