Description
Dr. Liara T'Soni from Mass Effect, sexy asari scientist extraordinaire. My favourite romance. I've depicted her as the studious, brilliant, awkward girl you meet in the first Mass Effect. We all know how she becomes a total bad-ass after that one. Now I know that this is the future and nobody seems to wear glasses (eye surgery must be cheap), but glasses look cute. So there. Statues on Ilos in the background. Eep, scawy. If I can be arsed to do it, which I doubt, I'll paint the face and send the canvas to Bioware for their wall.

A scholar and a gentlelady. You know, those glasses are really a great touch. I really emphasizes what she really is, a researcher. Nice job!

Thank you for commenting . Glad you like her. I swear, the eyes are so much better than what I usually do.
Well, I figured that since your tutorial helped me, it would surely also help others. Now here's hoping they actually read a description once in a while.

This loos so freaking awesome. Your bf might be right, this is amazing! The background looks like it's glowing and the fact that it's blurred gives it a mystical aura (or the camera is just doing its job, but let's stick with the aura).
Those white dots on her... hair shouldn't go all the way down? And I want a copy of that book. Though I can only read Β "BLUE BLUE KASDBJAJ", but it seems like something she would read ("I'm blue, dabadee da daaa daba deee duum" -- sorry, the "Protheans: Fact or Fiction").Β
I FREAKING LOVE THIS AND NOW I'M GOING TO PLAY ME SO I CAN ROMANCE LIARA. Who am I kidding, I got work to do

Hooray! I'm pleased you like her. I finished the background before the foreground this time. It's sloppy, but you can't tell with the blur.
Nope. I checked the screenshots again. Knew I was right, though. Hop into the time machine! "I'm Commander Shepard and this is my favourite book on the Citadel."
ME will still be there when you're done. Β

Shhh I like it, don't tell anybody and it will all be fine.
Really? I googled images of her and it seemed they went all the way down or maybe it's her skin texture. Asari, man, go figure. I never got that line because renegade
Thank you for understandingΒ Β

They still don't. I found a 3D model where it is only a crown-like shape on the underside of her crest. Probably the texture of her skin combined with highlights. In fact, I should change it here because they go on too far in places. Maybe I can be arsed to do it some other time. Or not at all.

Natmonkey In reply to DefinitionOfDestiny [2014-06-09 17:11:21 +0000 UTC]
Only to a certain extent. If I would really embrace the laziness, nothing at all would happen. No stories, no drawings, no getting out of bed, no dinner. Nothing.

Embrace the procrastination? All the major things would happen then. At least the ones ou need to make happen so you can survive, you know.

Thank you very much; I'm happy you like her. Cute was exactly what I was going for.
Well, I understand how people change, but the change in her seemed so drastic. It becomes clearer when you pay extra to read the comics (not a great fan of these practices). I loved her sweet personality in ME1.

Deemonef In reply to Natmonkey [2014-06-05 19:23:41 +0000 UTC]
Me too. I'm also not a fan of the comics.
And even in redemption the change is much to hard
The way she punch Feron of destroy this Broker Terminal... this is not the Liara of ME1
And it's a shame.

Heh, well, you know Bioware... You're right though. She was so much lovelier before. Her naivety and awkwardness were part of her charm. And suddenly her breasts seem to have grown a size or two.

Yeah.... same as Ashley
Sex is more important than real facts
π: 0 β©: 1
Natmonkey In reply to Deemonef [2014-06-05 20:02:11 +0000 UTC]
Massive boobs, matchstick arms. A soldier like Ashley shouldn't have arms like that. Can't, even. How are you going to lift such heavy weapons without any strength? Ugh. At least Liara had better anatomical proportions. Sex doesn't sell well enough to make up for everything else.

Deemonef In reply to Natmonkey [2014-06-05 20:43:08 +0000 UTC]
So damn true
One bad part is as you mentioned the arms:
For example Shep... those slender arms.... so weird
π: 0 β©: 1
Natmonkey In reply to Deemonef [2014-06-05 21:00:24 +0000 UTC]
Yes. She should have muscled arms, though not like a lady body-builder, and a six-pack. Women who are trained like that don't stay dainty little dolls.
π: 0 β©: 1
Deemonef In reply to Natmonkey [2014-06-05 22:49:18 +0000 UTC]
So true
You ever made this fight with vega in ME3, and Shep wears her dress?
This is so damn weird. With this arms you cannot beat a man like vega
...but... Joker have arms and a neck like a bodybuilder, and he is not able to train cause of his genetic disease...
π: 0 β©: 1
Natmonkey In reply to Deemonef [2014-06-05 22:56:25 +0000 UTC]
I don't really like seeing her in that dress, actually. The shoes make it look so ugly. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! My favourite is that tight thing Dr. Chakwas also has on. Vega is huge, though. Who could beat that gorilla of a man? Certainly not Shepard or Ashley with their thin little arms. Ugh.
Well, Joker's disease is mainly in his lower body, so it would make sense for him to train his upper body a bit too much. Bioware was just lazy and used the same shapes for almost everyone. The only typically Joker thing - apart from his face - is his funny walk.

Deemonef In reply to Natmonkey [2014-06-05 23:31:06 +0000 UTC]
You are right. In Joker's Comic he looks more weakly.
As much things in ME it is a thing of laziness, as you said
I love the alliance formal uniform in ME3 the most. Looks really serious on my Sheps
I really wish, that ME3 and in some cases ME2 would be much more than ME1. There the story and the chars were much more realistic
π: 0 β©: 1
Natmonkey In reply to Deemonef [2014-06-06 00:00:27 +0000 UTC]
Originally they were going to make him look like that, from what I understand, but it didn't quite happen.
Dragon Age is the same. Everybody is muscular, apart from the odd fat person here and there.
Oh yes, that does look very serious. It would take dedication to wear that in one's spare time though. Doesn't look comfortable.
I know, right? That's why ME1 is still my favourite, even though it looks less pretty graphically and there are fewer romance options and stuff. There was just so much more emotion going on.
π: 0 β©: 1
Deemonef In reply to Natmonkey [2014-06-06 08:24:07 +0000 UTC]
Yeah. In this points ME1 is less... great.
For PC there is a great graphic patch, which make the game look much better
The thing I like the most in ME1 is that you wear heavy armors in battle, and normal clothes at the ship.
I find it so disgusting, that guys like Jack, Miranda and Samara wear her "sexy suits" in battle (even on HeastrΓΆm and levels in the space
π: 0 β©: 1
Natmonkey In reply to Deemonef [2014-06-06 17:13:23 +0000 UTC]
I didn't know about that. If I ever feel like playing it again, I'll look it up.
Yes. A clear contrast between battle and spare time.
Pfff, Jack's is the worst. Miranda's and Samara's would offer at least basic protection, but Jack walks around in pasties and trousers, for crying out loud. You'd think she would want to protect her tattoos better.
