Hi, I saw this little snake this morning. It wasn't very big, as the ant in the upper left background shows the scale of the shot. It was just coiled up in the leaves, enjoying the cool shade.Related content

Yeah it's colors are so sharp and clear.. I think it may have just shed it's skin. Usually it's a little duller shade than this.

Really solid, with the sharp focus on the head. And a great spontaneous composition, you can't plan these things, only hope for them!

Thank you! Yeah it just happened to work out that way.. I didn't even see them till I processed the shot at home. You gotta love it when these little items "pop" up in frame for you! The little snake , as coiled up was about the size of a tennis ball.

Yes I do love that! I once took a series of shot to stitch together into a panorama and found that I had captured an azure kingfisher in one. So my panorama has a tiny speck of blue
