Hi, as I was walking out of the marsh after checking on the Heron"s nest,I came across this Eastern water snake as it was just hanging out in the leaves along the trail.Yup, you never know what you'll run into down in this marsh.Related content

To date, I haven't seen a single skipper or my usual spring butterflies...no checker spots...or wood nymphs. I do hope the weather warms up fast, and they start showing up.
