I apologize if I'm wrong, but I always assumed it was directed towards all sexualities. Even heterosexual. Isn't that what the + in Lgbt+ stands for? Like it is endless sexualities that you can "add" or celebrate during pride month.Β

Gay people have been treated damn well since the late 80's/early 90's. It took Western society a little longer to accept it. Most people, including much the HBI community, look at Pride Month as a period of corporate pandering. It's not so much about sexuality these days, but politics.
They have it made in the US and Europe, so Pride wouldn't realistically make much sense over here. Contrast that to, say, the Islamic world... try to organize a Cairo Pride or Β a Riyadh Pride event and see how far you get before getting chucked off the nearest roof.
If Pride Month is to be inclusive, everyone (including heterosexuals) should be involved otherwise nobody should. Otherwise, it would come off as some sort of caste-based event.

I believe that pride month should be inclusive to everyone who is prideful of their sexuality, no matter what it is. So to be honest I feel that what this person made is appropriate. There's nothing wrong in having pride for being straight too.
If the LGBTQ+ was going to include all sexualities except straight, wouldn't that make them just as bad as those in the past that casted people who were apart of the LGBTQ+ community?
Everyone is equal in this community, and now that it's an accepted thing in this world, then we should stop casting others to the side for sexual differences and just be accepting, no matter what.
