Oh my gosh... So this has some explaining to do. This is so lame, Im sorry.First of all, I LOVE the prince. And I am HAPPY that he and Belle get together and have the Happily Ever After and blah blah blah. Really I do.
I also get that Gaston is a womanizing whore for attention and that he is pig-headed and egotistical. A complete jerk. So no, in a perfect world I would not like to see Belle deal with a man like that.
But for the past day and a half ALL I have been able to think about is Gaston and his bulging muscles
Soooo dreamy... And ya know, on the flip side I want Belle to end up with a strapping young man who is fully capable of protecting her from harm and not be bad eye candy either. So heres Gaston and Belle. And maybe she found something there that wasnt there before

at least he brings the more witty and sassy part out of Belle (that i personally love more) she knows who to put limits very smartly...Beast on the other hand the more caring and motherly part which is ok but not my thingΒ

you are very right, Belle does not have to bring out her wits or smarminess with the Beast. I mean, yeah, Gaston sucks but honestly, Belle is so badass that I think she could wipe the asshole-ness from him the same way she did with the Beast.

Personally i think no women has the power with their kindness, patience and Love or whatever to change a men to the better ...i know many women do this effort but fail extremely!! Β But ok Beauty and the Beast is a fairy tale and i take it for what it is, and in this case: yes I think Belle could have Change Gaston to the better because come on...Beast was more of an asshole than Gaston at the beginning, able to letting die poor Maurice in that dungeon (people dont realize that but that is terrible, terrible!!!!) Β Than she was forced to stay with him and there is were he got his chance to "change"... if Gaston were in Beast place maybe he would have changed too....i dont know

while I do agree that you cannot in fact change anyone I feel like we lose the reality of this: Belle, MAKES the beast want to change himself for her. He does the changing all on his own, she is just so damn perf that he wants to get to her level of awesome.
I think that something similar could happen with Gaston, I mean, he can't be all horrible. He is a beloved member of society, he can be polite "excuse me, please let me through!", he can be a leader, he can be safety. Like you said, the beast was totally for lettin Maurice die in a dungeon or die in the snow, eaten by wolves, and hey - lets not forget holding people hostage in a castle for god knows how long. So yeah, from the scared townsfolk ppls POV, Gaston is a town hero.

Β I am not a Beast/Belle fan, but i like Belle...and I dont think an independent and confident women like her would fall for someone that have the need to be teached in everything...like for example to eat with a spoon!!Ok he is a Beast, but the functions of his brain are humans. And you are right !!! Belle is his role model and superior in everything...mmm and i hate this...
Gaston on the other hand has some abilities, he can hunt, run a tavern, i dont know what more, but at least he can do something on his own!!! But mens that can get a life by themselves are the bad guys according to Disney...much better is someone that has nothing to do the whole fucking day but complaining, without a hint of personality so you can mold him according to your wishes, because for me at the very end Beast becomes a second Belle...even their human forms are similar..ugggg and people are saying that is the best couple everΒ

I loved the first one, the ending wasn't really what I wanted but hey. The second one is long but good. The sequel is really sweet too, it isn't finished but the author is still writing for it she is just caught up in writing other stories.

I love the prince too, but it's always interesting to imagine what would happen if those two didn't end up together. Despite my love of Beast, I think Belle could actually change Gaston for the better. Well, at least make him less womanizing. I mean, if he got the girl of his dreams, somehow I doubt he would be running around with other women.
Although that might just be the romantic in me talking
This has inspired me to write a fanfic about something like this occuring...if I write it I will definitely credit you for the idea

There's a beautiful fanfic that does just this, Belle ends up with Gaston. It's called Picture This on fanfiction.com, it's quite realistic and the way the characters are written about is very convincing.

I'm glad you agree! Prince Adam is awesome, yes, I love the Beast. But really if he didn't exist Gaston would take that roll. Because, really. The Beast and Gaston are really very similar. They are both self centered, they are both bullies, both are cruel and inconsiderate when they want to be. So my thinking is if Belle was willing to give the Beast a chance and got him to be a better person, she could do the same with Gaston. She's awesome like that.

You totally should! There is so much that could happen. And really. This is something to think about. Gaston is important to the community, he is strong so he can build houses, he's a hunter so he's feeding the people, he IS concerned with their protection. People seem to genuinely like him. Belle's father likes him! I think the reason we see him as a bully to Belle is because of that whole... er... pulling of pigtails thing.

I'm working on a ten-part series right now about the Disney Princesses' children (I'm currently on part 4-Ariel's part), but maybe over the summer I can double team Belle's part with this new story. He is incredibly important and I think once Belle saw that he does care she could see past his ego/womanizing ways and fall for him. It would just take time and reminding him that she may like him but she's not marrying him right away
