Description
Pretty easy and quick builds, these are the Academy 1/144 scale B-52 and B-1 models. The B-52H represents Memphis Belle IV from the 2nd Bomb Wing, Barksdale, AFB in 2018. The B-1B is seen depicted as "Black Widow" of the 34th Bomb Squadron, 28th Bomb Wing out of Elsworth AFB in South Dakota.

You can't find an easier (perhaps more boring) paint scheme than overall gunship gray (radome for the B-1 is painted Nato black). No landing gear or bombs to slow the build down; it took me just nine days to complete both. I used oil paint to fill in the panel lines for the B-1 but it seems a bit overdone and deep for this scale. I skipped filling panel lines for the B-52 and I think it looks better that way.

These two will hang from the ceiling as a team!
