i like the design on this guy a lot, animation is really smooth. he's got character

i know nothing of sprites and have little experience in highlight / shadows yet, but i did notice something that i think you could tune up? (idk what i'm tqalking about PX)
when he's moving it goes from like a bright red to a dark one, i realize this shows that the body is in a different position however i would like to ask if you can make a medium color for the inbetween or a softer transition color. it's pretty drastic but again i have no experience in this sort of thing

when he's walking, the colors of his arm / body change from a red to a dark red...i think the colors are a bit of a drastic change and (idk but) i think you should add a buffer color like
red - dark red - darker red
or just something idk....it's very good but i think the color change is to drastic

oh shit i got you now, I'm using a LCD monitor and i totally did not see that, but viewed from a CRT monitor, i saw the obvious change.

I see what hes getting at too. You know every time the creature takes a step that it changes colour in some areas for lighting. The highlight colour is a bit to bright and needs just the slightest colour change.

This really is a amazing little animation by the way, its got such character. I could imagine it being a really hard enemy or boss in a game. :3
