There are many legends involving the Cyclops, most notably Homers Odessey. But there is another that tells how the Cyclops were offered forsight in exchange for one of thier eyes. (they supposedly had 2 eyes in the beginning) The Cyclops agreed but found that they had been tricked, for the only foresight they gained was in seeing thier own deaths.
My attempt with this wp was to capture the moment of horror when the Cyclops saw his own death. Hope it worked. =]

My first thought when I saw this piece, oddly enough, was "Simply Beautiful!" Splendid detail. I especially like the red of the cracked lip for some reason that was my icing on the cake. Needless to say this became my wallpaper the second it finished loading. The off centredness of the subject, as an artist you know, brought alot more feeling to this, making the art jump to life with frightening realism... My sister told me this is seriously disturbing...lol I love it! The context you put it in made it even better as well.
