While I love dragons and I love birds, I have to disagree!
Dragons must have evolved from a unique branch on the evolutionary tree long before birds or even dinosaurs.
All vertebrates today have 4 limbs, yet dragons have 6. Birds have no evidence of any 3rd pair of bones that could lead to dragon limbs, and all modern vertebrates must have had a common ancestor that gave rise to the 4 limb feature.
Thus the dragon family must have branched off many, many hundreds of millions of years before the birds!
At least, that's my view of things

Yeah, it's an interesting thing to have insight on ... Thanks for sharing your opinion! I love hearing what different things people have to say about it. The "science" really hasn't been too set in stone yet ...

really interesting, but that's not really realistical - - maybe you wanna take a look here [link] it's more realistical a mutantion like this happens and becomes more functional and less useless

It's just a concept that one creature turned into another ... kinda like morphing I suppose?
Keep in mind -- this is an evolution, something that happened over millions and millions of years.
Genetic defects like those are super i

yeah - but evolution is always improving of each single creature - until it become a dragon, those extra legs are useless

This is true ... I've been working to develop a more scientific purpose for the extra limbs, but it sure can be hard! Thanks for your honesty, I do appreciate it

primitiver animals will get easyer aditional bodyparts - and mutations like this can become a basis for evolution if the population is small enough

THE SECOND TO LAST ONE IS MY FAVORITE. I LOVE ITS LITTLE ARMS.
Haha, if this were to scale that would be an extremely large bird. It would eat Zenians for breakfast.

BETSY WHAT HAVE YOU DONE. I PUT THIS IN MY PIPE, AND I SMOKED IT AND NOW ALL I CAN SEE EVERYWHERE I LOOK IS MAGNESIUM AND HE'S HAVING A SEIZURE AND I TRY TO GIVE HIM HIS PILLS BUT I CAN'T BETSY! I CAN'T BECAUSE HE'S A BIG GIANT WORM AND I CAN'T FIND HIS MOUTH!
Anyway I remember this and it is so beautiful and so true. Dinosaurs and dragons both are birds. They are just big, fat birds with scales. And they are beautiful.

DUDE. Awesome!
I saw this on tumblr and I immediately thought of how awesome it must have been for the early Zenians to ride on GIANT BIRDS. I mean, if Zenians were around back then. Hmm...
What evs~ GIANT BIRDS, Betsy!

GIANT BIRDS!
I decided ... that Zenians are actually very highly evolved humans ... Like many years ago there was an apocalypse that wiped out most of them. So much that civilization ended and the few remaining had to begin their own civilization. History started itself over, and through symbiosis with the dragon/birds, they grew tall and had pointy ears.
Science.
