Description
Edit March 27, 2010:Wow, everyone, thank you so much for the Daily Deviation! I am so honored. Truely! I have no words. This is such a surprise to me.

Last Animalocalypse.
Again with the title, I've yet to come up with a more creative one. I want somthing that incorperates "learn", "learning" etc. somehow.
I just can't take the title "The anatomy lesson" (or I more accurately "Dr. Tulp's Anatomy Lesson"), because that's just plain rude to Rembrandt.
Which by the way, in case this watercolor here does not ring a bell, here is the father:

I opened the series with a famous painting spoof ([link] ), and closed it with a famous painting spoof. This was how I brought the series together as a whole.
I hope you enjoyed Animalocalypse, and there could very well perhaps be more someday (but probably not for a long while).
I welcome you to see the rest, if you'd like! -- c

It's a great painting to work from. I think there's still a lot you could do with it! Don't feel like you can't still do things with it if others have already.
Thank you so much

I love this piece. I really like how it is reminds me of Rembrandt, and yet it has this awesome original twist with a great concept.

I love this! I've always hated the idea of dissecting a frog. They're my favorite animals. I was extremely relieved when my biology class dissected worms, but even that seemed cruel.

Thanks!
I remember when I had to do that! I did not enjoy dissecting the worm.
I had to dissect a cat last semester, now THAT was interesting.

Kefiah is right, we should dissect mice, or better yet, pigs.

I'd just call the piece "Dissecting Frogs."
It is at once, both accurate and misleading. ^_^
Great piece though, well done.

I think that this one is one of the darkest.
I love it very much! I love the frog's faces, they're so expressionless like real frogs and it makes it eerie because they're dissecting humans.

It does have that underlying darkness to it, indeed!
Thank you!
