From my fanfic, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part Nine: Stairway to Heaven . When Stands first awakened, those who weren't granted special Stands, would have this Stand due to not having strong enough willpower. They would be treated as the working class and often subjected to the lower class due to the power difference between the Stand itself; and special Stands. However, individuals like Joan Joestar, born with this handicap, would improve her Stand and evolve it into Imagine All by the time of the tournament. It is the Stand of every normal person on earth, able to replicate based on the number of people in a respective area. They are often office workers, construction workers, etc- ones that don't require specialization

The song that inspired by the song of the same name due to how how we can never truly understand people who live tougher lives than ours - no matter how much you think you know, you're never going to experience what it's like. The lyrics tell of an upper class girl that tries to live in the lower life with one of the lower class to guide her, but it's shallow due to how she can bail out of the situation by her dad at anytime while the tour guide is stuck with his way of life. It goes with the Stand as well, people write it out as a very generic Stand, but in actuality it's a very versatile power with a lot of semantic powers that make it more diverse than the specialized Stands. As for the rest of the influence, it is based on Eleanor Rigby, specifically All the Lonely people- speaking of the lonely people that die unappreciated and alone with no one to acknowledge them, something that applies to the Stand as well.

The reason I made this is because of two reasons- one practicality- it would be insane to categorize every single song in history into this fanfic and make every single person have their own unique Stand because that would be an overwhelming task to do. The 2nd reason is sadly more realistic in-universe- it justifies why Justiz and evil regimes through the events of 21st to the 41st happen. Most people, while having their own unique quirks on a personal level, are not outstanding enough to develop a Stand to really make an impression in life, being ordinary and quiet in comparison to their bombastic peers. It also serves as a visual means to classify the caste system as 80% of the lower class population have Common People for a Stand. It is possible like Joan to evolve Common People into a Stand like Imagine All, but that's very, very rare. All of its powers are based in pitch tones and musical instruments, which appear on its body. I initially wanted a more Lego like design, but went for a music theme one for subdued uniqueness instead.

It's heavily implied that Tenor Sax from the Stand User, Kenny G, is a partial manifestation of Common People, due to the naming convention of its abilities are based in types of instruments. To emphasize how generic he was.

Stand: Common People- named after the song by Pulp.
Stand: All Other Stand Users of average birth/potential- a reference to All The Lonely People lyric of the song, Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles
Ability: It has a wide range of powers ranking from the lowest to highest- Falsetto, Soprano, Contralto, Tenor, Baritone, Bass and Super-Bass in potency. Its powers are musical instrument themed, but they tend to be esoteric.
Saxophone/Bagpipe/Flute/Clarinet/Bassoon- Senses based manipulation- at the lowest, it disrupts the senses and at its highest, it can temporarily alter reality.
Trumpet/Horn/Trombone/- Ranged projectiles- at lowest, harmless bullet and its highest, a mountain destroying blast.
Violin- Mental based control- at the lowest, it influences decisions of others and its highest, complete mind control.
Drum/Maraca/Bell/Xylophone- Physical enhancement- at lowest, it can make one able to harness heavy machinery and its highest, it can crush meteors.
Piano/Cymbal/Triangle/Harp/Organ- Emotion manipulation- at lowest, it influences moods and its highest, it can completely control them.
Microphone- Healing- at lowest, heals scraps and highest, complete atomic regeneration.
Destructive Power: E-A, dependent on individual.
