More information on the thought process on making the Stand comes here . When doing Part 8.1, I wanted to create the origin of the canine police force in Part 9, so I made the Stand and Stand user be similar, but also slightly more primitive than their future counterpart with THE POLICE being more openly robotic than the more humanoid THE POLICE of future generations. Additionally, the hand symbol (associated with Jotaro’s hat) is slowly morphed into a sun over the centuries of service.

Stand: THE POLICE- named after the band, The Police.
Stand User: Sting the I- named after the singer, Sting.
Ability: Summons a policeman Stand that pursues a criminal until it catches them, leading to abilities like cloning, regeneration, phasing, and walking on impossible surfaces like air, water, etc to get a target. Damage is shared with user, but regeneration keeps it from being fatal. It can also take on a human form in dealing with humans that aren't comfortable talking with a dog.
Destructive Power: B- Is strong enough to manhandle normal Stand users, but the top-tier ones are ones that outclass it.
Speed: B- Is able to outpace most Stands, but is outclassed in speed by the top-tier Stands.
Range: A- Is able to cover a several mile distance to pursue targets.
Precision: C: It doesn't automatically target criminals- only when they have explicitly done an evil act, not one that is done through loopholes.
Persistence: A: Pursues a target until they are caught, outdoing the pursued in stamina each time.
Development Potential: N/A- inherited automatic Stand
Stand User Rank: B- Is a refined, generational, adaptable Stand with an intelligent user that is observant and perceptive.
