From my prequel fanfic, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 8.1: World Star . An overzealous member of Team City Cops, who underwent government experimentation to surpass the human condition, caused David to become a mutant with enhanced capabilities. Due to his scary nature, both in action and appearance, most avoid him unless necessary.

David Ashworth Gates (born December 11, 1940, in Tulsa, Oklahoma) is a retired American singer-songwriter, guitarist, musician and producer, frontman, and co-lead singer (with Jimmy Griffin) of the group Bread, which reached the tops of the musical charts in Europe and North America on several occasions in the 1970s.

This typically mellow Bread song became very popular with their fans. The lyrics describe a way of surrendering, as in giving up all of your love to a person.

I made him as a Judge Dredd tribute, an extremely brutal officer that enforces the law, which fits into the cop motif of the group but also explores the lengths one goes for justice, even forgoing one's humanity in the process. His Stand being an attack dog makes him a foil to Sting who's a police dog with a police officer as a Stand.

Stand: Sweet Surrender- named after the song by the band, Bread.
Stand User: David Gate- named after the musician, David Gate.
Ability: Sweet Surrender pursues and bites a target, which causes them to lose the ability to resist and give out any important information that David and his cohorts need to know. It can even phase through solid barriers, teleport, etc in order to reach the target quicker. Additionally, it has soul sensors to detect criminals going incognito.
Destructive Power: Omega- above a top-tier Stand in terms of raw strength.
Speed: Omega- blindingly agile.
Range: Infinite- has an indefinite range in order to pursue the target.
Precision: Omega- highly accurate and refined control.
Persistence: Omega- Pursuit lasts until the target is caught.
Development Potential: Complete- Fully mastered.
Stand User Rank: Omega Tier- A skilled pursuer of criminals and in addition to a powerful Stand, David himself has undergone experimentations to become more effective at the cost of his physical humanity.
Personal Powers: Mutant Physiology- Enhanced Strength, Speed, Senses, Shape-shifting Biology, Camouflage, Regeneration, and limited Telepathy.
