a background would just ruin the wallpaper, I like it the way he is now, the statue is abstract so the background must be abstract to. Maybe only some shadow would be enough.
But that's my opinion.

I love it. The shape is different and very nice. But I agree, the background does need a little work.
Hmm, I get a feeling of art noveou , early 1920's era. Perhaps a back ground with architecture from that era very faint in the background or some designs like that.
Just a thought.

reminds me of a hood ornament... nice coloring though.. something about the light under the neck bothers me though.. looks like there's just a little too much. i'd probably cut down on the blue there and mess around with those white light spots a little more..
