Had this drawing sitting in my folders for over 6 months. I was up late last night working on commissions, and took a quick break to finish coloring it.
It's crazy to see how much my art style, and this species has developed over the years. :')
I'll add all the updated info about them later when I finish typing it all up. (there's quite a bit more info)
But for now I'll address some changes you can probably clearly see.

First off, their anatomy has been altered a bit. No longer do they look so draconic. I based their head shape after the prehistoric saber cat known as Smilodon . I also decided to give them ears, so that they look more mammalian. Their colors have also been altered a bit to not look so outlandishly ridiculous. Males will most often be that orange color, and patterned similar to a tiger. They will also have fluffy tails, sometimes baring spikes through the fur, though very rarely. The females will usually be like the one on top. Sorting the longer mane, more lithe tail, and larger horns and fangs. All of their manes will be that bright red color, reguardless of species. (excluding Arctic Hydrakons) I also gave their feet a scaled texture, similar to bird feet.

I'll add more info when I have time, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for that.
