Description
This was drawn for my little sister's boyfriend.He wanted his own dragon OC, so he sat down with me and designed this guy.
here's some of the details he gave him:-25 years old
-Straight male
-Shadow elemental
-Cliff Racer breed
-History:
His mother vanished after he hatched, leaving him to be raised by his father. His father was brutal to him, and always expected more than he could provide. This created a sense of never being good enough, so he isolated himself from others. As more and more time passed in this manner, he began to lose sight of what was good, and what was bad. This lead him to stray towards the darkness in his heart... Because of his father's brutality, he learned early on how to harden his heart to others in order to stand up for himself. It wasn't until he met his best friend at the age of 14 that his life began to turn around. As his confidence rose, he began showing off his skills to others. Dieonisys tends to be a bit timid around females, and wouldn't make any attempt to talk to them. But he does interact with others when they approach him. When he was 17 years old, he ran away from his home in the Tropic Canyon to find a better life with his best friend.
Well, that's all we wrote about him. I'm sure Davidson will develop him more as time progresses.

Bakida is an Ancient Flame dragon with that wing style because some of his lineage has Cliff Racer in it.
Draigon is, but when he was given the Dark Gift his feathers all fell out.

Quick question, how do you do shading with colored pencil? I want to take my art to the next level and multiple people have suggested that I start doing that.

In this piece I actually didn't use colored pencil to shade it. I used markers.
And I'm actually in the process of a tutorial on how to shade traditional works. ^_^

I used to use only colored pencils, but it ground down so many of the darker colors that I was having to constantly replace them.

I can definitely see how that can happen. The problem with traditional art compared to digital art is that it can potentially get expensive due to constantly needing to buy new tools and mediums.

I need to get a tablet at some point so I can start doing digital art. Maybe as a graduation gift or a birthday present, or I can just save up for one myself.

Take my advice, save up at least $400 to get a good one from Wacom. Aftermarket and other knock-off ones suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck and constantly break down.

I use a Wacom Intos Pro (Silver Edition) with Photoshop CS6. For both of those, you're looking at about $1,000.
