With all that had been going on in SU Future, I'd say it'd be possibleΒSure this might not seem possible, two people going onto the train at once, but who knows?

Then Steven might freak out and charge through some of the cars thinking some if the denizens are monsters. But he and Connie would start to relax the moment they reach a more peaceful car and regroup their surroundings. It's likely that Connie would figure out the train's mechanics first [Assuming this takes place during or before Book 1]
Steven has to fix his personal problems which include his friends all leaving, afraid to be alone, and finding his new purpose in life.
Connie will have to deal with seeing Steven suffering and to muster up the courage to help confront his fears. Her number should be significantly lower. We've yet to see her more in Future so perhaps she has other unresolved conflict we don't know about yet..
I'm confident the two will make it out of the train fairly fast. Steven's already a helpful person and he is subject to change.
