Yeah, I heard about that and I'm excited. Three of my friends are planning to go with me to the movies if it happens, and I hope it does. And it had better be good, too. The fans are expecting it to be good.

Don't get your hopes up. Lots of movies are announced and then never made; others fall into Development Hell and don't get finished for many years. Wreck-it Ralph started development back in the 1980s! And the folks at Hollywood might take the easy route and churn out yet another cheesy slasher film, this one set in an off-brand Chuck E. Cheese.
And keep in mind that movies based on video games are nearly always awful. I'm a fan of Doom and the Silent Hill series, and their movies are painful to watch. Don't get me started on Mario Brothers. If a FNAF movie lived up to its potential--and it has plenty; Scott wove a great backstory and revealed it in a very effective way--it would be a huge exception to the trend. We can hope for that, but I know better than to expect it.
