I read on the inside cover of my dvds that it was spelled Beluvius. Is there any idea as to the official spelling? Like from an official source?

Yes. In the episode synopsis on page 21 of the Encyclopedia Fragglia , an internal document compiled by Karen Prell during the original production of the TV series, it is spelled "Baloobius." I'll believe that over DVD notes, especially since I can clearly hear that it's pronounced with a second B rather than a V.

No problem. A lot of people have asked the same question here and there. AFAIK, it's only spelled "beluvius" on the DVD summary, nowhere else. My guess is the person writing the summaries was just guessing and didn't have a copy of the Encyclopedia Fragglia handy.

I'll concede that Baloobius is the correct spelling, but I've grown attached to the alternate spelling, because it sounds more like a scientific latin-y anatomical term.
