Previous: Next:Here's another clip from the outtake reel for Requiem with a Birthday Cake. Ambiguity is fun.
EDIT: I made this ambiguous on purpose. Sorry if you've been looking for a joke, but there isn't one today. As for what is going on, I'd like to see with what you all come up with.

They correspond to their souls. The souls themselves are the ghosts, either bound into an animatronic suit or free-roaming.

I think it's more like the balloons represent how the souls are still trapped. The Puppet isn't really talking about leaving the building, but passing on to the afterlife.

Ummmm Shouldnt the puppet and Springtrap be mortal enemies? You know? Sense Springtrap problemy has the soul of the purple guy in it and the Puppet has the soul of the murdered child in it?

These comics are just gags. If it's funnier for them to be frenemies, then that's what they'll be. Don't worry about continuity.

"Unfinished business."
That's a phrase I used in one of my fan fiction books that I written on Wattpad.
However, even though the comic doesn't seem too funny, I still think this is pretty interesting! Keep going!

Oooh what a silly goose; what were you gonna do if you did get outside, Springtrap? Go to the closest Dominoes or Pizza Hut and terrorize them?
Poor Puppet, dealing with the end of the stick.

Well, if this was FNAFB3, he could go to Wal-Mart or Starbuck's. Wait, actually, no he couldn't. He'd be hit by a car first.
The Puppet really has his work cut out for him, doens't he? Who do you think will win in the end?
(Springtrap wants domino's pizza. However, he can't order any because they don't understand his Sleestak hissing.)

This coming reminded me of FNAFB3 exactly, but I wasn't sure if it was appropriate. xD
Either the Puppet's going to win through angelic-like patience, oooor it's going to end up as an eternal stalemate. The latter sounds funnier.

Negaduck9 In reply to Cocho [2015-06-05 02:50:09 +0000 UTC]
Heh, I only recently tried FNAFB. It looks like one of those dreadful sophomoric game hacks, but it's so popular that there must be something more to it. I was surprised to find that it's actually a well-made, fun game. I'm currently playing the third one, and just lost the final battle of Act 2. Ah well, tomorrow's another day.
If the Puppet had all the time in the world, maybe he could outlast Springtrap. But who says he does? He may have less time than he thought. (I kinda like the idea of Springtrap and the Puppet being frenemies.)

I haven’t checked what the others have written in the comment section yet since I wanted to make my own guess, though I have a feeling that the answer might be similar to theirs.
I believe each of the balloons represent the animatronics. The white one belonging to Marionette and the black one being BOB aka Springtrap’s.
Springtrap however is too stuck in his own mindset, too selfish and depraved to see the balloons or even think that the solution is to develop empathy, some kind of self-awareness and change. My guess is that Marionette chose to stay behind (If the children moved on), trying to help/teach his murderer to realize these things so he can have a chance to be freed too. But I think that in order to be freed BOB/Springtrap has to earn it.
Despite this strip being more serious than the others Springtrap's futile attempts to breach the door, how furious he seemed to get by each second and the Marcel Marceau nickname/reference made me laugh!
Cool that you switched the posters appearance as they do in the game!
This strip is an interesting alternative concept to your main comic!

Negaduck9 In reply to Mirage-Epoque [2015-06-02 17:21:00 +0000 UTC]
You nailed it, more or less. The balloons represent their opportunity to move on. The Puppet and children have white ones, and could leave, but Springtrap's is as blackened as his soul and would not take him anywhere. Still, its existence means that there is still a possibility. The Puppet is staying behind to try to turn Springtrap. Why? Good question. Maybe he wants to overcome his own past suffering by eliminating its source. Maybe he wants to assert power over the one who took his life. Or maybe he's a real Flanders and just wants to save a soul in need of saving. As for the ghosts, they're there because the Puppet has not led them away. But they're losing their fear of Springtrap, now that they see he can't do anything worse than scare them.
I was hoping someone would recognize Marcel Marceau. Fun Fact: in the Mel Brooks film The Silent Movie only one word was spoken. "No!", and the speaker was Marcel Marceau.
And, yeah, I couldn't resist swapping the poster. It happens in the game; it'd practically be wrong for that not to happen here!

Nice!
I can't be certain, but from the impression I get from your version of Marionette in the Springaling and in RwaBC comic he doesn't seem like the Flanders "good two shoes" kind of "guy". I believe that first option could be the main reason why Marionette chose to stay or perhaps a combination with the second one too.
Haha! I bet if Springtrap came to realized that his past victims started to see him more as a nuisance than a nightmare source of terror he would go bonkers!
Hahaha! That's awesome! I had no idea Marcel was in a Mel Brooks movie! I've got to watch it!
Oh yes! You have chosen... wisely.

I think Flanders was at his best in the movie. There he was amazingly kind and compassionate in the face of, well, Simpsons-ness, and for a while actually won Bart over. My Puppet feels kind of the same way: Springtrap is a rotten guy, but the Puppet can't believe that he's irredeemable, and if he can get through to him there would be one less jerk in the world.
Springtrap is aware that the ghosts are no longer that scared of him. I don't think we want to push his face in the fact, however, do we? That won't lead to happiness for anyone.

Yeah, I remember that movie and it's cool that your Marionette wants to help despite the horrible things BOB aka Springtrap has done against him and the children. I have a feeling that’ll take a looong time and a lot of work for Marionette to guide and help him become less of a evil douche-noodle. It would be interesting if Marionette succeeded in doing so, though.
By the way I found this SFM FnaF fan art while browsing around and it made me think about what you've wrote in your recent message. Overall it looked pretty cool. fav.me/d8ljwds
I may be a cynic, but if what the fanart is showing would ever happen in the upcoming Warner Brother's FnaF movie there's a chance my heart will hurt...
Nooo... You're right. That would be a very bad idea...

Negaduck9 In reply to Mirage-Epoque [2015-06-05 11:59:30 +0000 UTC]
Douche-noodle. I'm going to remember that. As for the Puppet...maybe he can't turn Springtrap. Maybe the opportunity to try is more for the Puppet's sake than Springtrap's. They say good deeds are good for the soul...
I don't know about that pic and the idea behind it. I mean, it's a very good image with a worthy idea behind it, but it's not one that I can really get behind. Well...not unless someone wrote a story that could convince me. And that could happen. But it would have to bring the reader along, show them how the Purple Guy could have had a change of heart. Most of the fan stuff along those lines just says "And the Purple Guy really is sorry," no explanation, because the writer/artist just wants it to be that way.

Maybe it is… "Hope is the last thing that dies in man", right?
I understand what you mean and I agree, it's too bad that most of the fans don’t offer any form of plausible reason to how or why a child murderer start to having a conscience. I mean, what would motivate him to experience that or even slightly change his point of view?
I would actually love to read a story like that, as you mentioned before the reader are there from scratch and follows Springtrap/Purple Guy’s journey either through possible redemption and salvation or more likely carnage and damnation.
Unless the upcoming FnaF 4 game will feature Springtrap/Purple Guy as someone who’s going through purgatory and regrets bad past life’s choices I’m going to stick with the irredeemable murderer opinon until Scott says otherwise and gives at least a decent explanation and doesn't pull off a case of rushed or lazy story writing.
I realised now that my replies are hogging too space in the comment section, I'm sorry about that... I'm going to answer back via notes instead.
