I like that the camera has been repurposed as a TV/tablet. Being good with robotics, it's not a surprise Springtrap is able to tinker with that thing. Plus, it's got WAY better quality than the camera system did.

I'm not all that religious, but it kinda gets to me when people think God doesn't exist because bad things happened. If he stopped bad things from happening, it'd defeat the purpose of freewill.

I've heard something said a couple different ways but the gist is "Children are our second chance at life". Of course, there are problems with this as in (a) Puppet isn't Springtraps kid, (b) they are both not alive anyway.
My point is, people (adults especially) look back at the mistakes they made and wish they could have done thing differently to avoid pain. They might think that something traumatizing was their fault.
They might try to impose the decision they wish they made onto a child in a similar position. I don't think Springtrap is trying to break Puppet's faith because I don't think he consciously cares about Puppet getting hurt. But there is an inkling growing subconsciously and I think that does have a small part of it. I think its more like he hates that Puppet has held onto his faith even though Springtrap took so much hope from him while Spring himself had it "proven" to him that God doesn't care numerous time. Maybe he doesn't want to experience that betrayal again, even vicariously through Puppet, and if he can make Puppet quit then nothing else will be able to take it away. It all comes down to control. 

I thought a common thing about serial killers is the need for control and Springtrap as a kid couldn't have had much control over his life. Faith is about willingly giving up control (that you never really had) of certain things to someone of a higher power and I don't think BOB would willingly give up control like that if he had so little to begin with as a kid. He doesn't understand how Puppet could do that.

Perhaps it was Springtrap who prayed all those years for a better life and seeing that nothing seemed to happen, gave up in his faith and what could have possibly been his only hope for salvation. But then again, he could have seen through some kid's window and saw him praying. Saw him living a good and happy life with equally loving parents, this may have made him snap, just like a trap.

I have a few guesses... the most interesting one that comes to mind, since we know his father was abusive, is that maybe his mother was religious and also abused, perhaps praying that Bob's father would act better.  So, Bob saw, growing up, what looked to him like futile faith.  Maybe she even died while Bob's father was in a drunken rage or something.  Of course, that's simply one of many possible stories.

The real question, I think, is why he feels the need to bother Ian about it.  I mean, sure, he's rude, but it's like he finds Ian's actions personally offensive.  Maybe he's still a little emotionally raw, but it seems that someone his age ought to have thicker skin.  He's acting like a teenager, in some ways.  His behavior practically screams "I have issues!  I feel like I'm being attacked!  So I'm attacking you to make sure you never do this around me ever again!"  A more adult version would involve a lot more mockery and smirking and a lot less getting worked up.  Not that I approve of shaming people in such a way over religion (especially since I, myself, am religious) but it does seem more like an adult jerk thing to do, especially to those younger than you, since it leaves you less open to questioning if it works.  (Granted, Ian is exactly the sort of person to keep it together under that sort of pressure, but he is fourteen (or close enough) so it could very well work.  Embarrassment is such a powerful emotion for teenagers...)

On a different subject, trying to type when the left shift key doesn't work is a real pain in the butt.

Answering the question in the description - Maybe he had a bad experience relating to religion. Maybe he prayed and his prayers weren't answered and he assumed he was "forgotten" or ignored.
If this is the case, I can definitely relate.
