Springtrap is referencing a song lyric in the third panel; I wonder if anyone will recognize it? It's from 2006. (Edit: Someone spotted Weird Al Yankovic's Canadian Idiot.)
It's interesting, reading the opinions of the readers on the last few comics. I find it strange how many people assume that Springtrap is telling the complete truth, or even knows the truth. How could he know how the ghosts came to haunt the animatronics? He was living at the time, so he couldn't have witnessed any of the ensoulments. And I don't think any of the involved parties gave him a blow-by-blow rundown since. The Puppet isn't answering back for reasons of his own, but he has said his piece in Talkback Time 11: The Middleman .
This is comic #2 done in GIMP. I'm getting a better feel for what I can do in this program...well, for how I can do the very simple stuff I've been doing, anyway. I dread going back to the Nightmares if GIMP doesn't have an easy way to put a dark glow around text.

That isn't necessarily true. People can be pretty rotten to the core, for example there exsits sociopathy, psychopathy and narcissism or just those who choose to be like that for the heck of it and are not either of the personality disorders mentioned above. That is, if we look into the reality.

Well those people were once at a time a different person, only becoming odd or insane by a terrible experience or traumatic impact to past life. It is not always at fault of a person of how they act, rotten cored or not. It is only how we see a person's action in our eyes and opinion. :]

Not necessarily. Many such psychological conditions are biological. I suffer from depression. Nothing particularly horrible or traumatizing happened to make this so (unless puberty counts). Also, sociopathy/psychopathy doesn't make you a horrible person. I know a friendly guy at church who's a sociopath/psychopath. Some people are just emotionally crippled by biology--unable to connect at a deep level with others, or lacking an inner moral compass. "I Am Not A Serial Killer" is a book about a sociopath with homicidal urges, but desperately wants to not be a serial killer.
As for meanness indicating secret kindness and stuff... Most people at school or work that we see as being mean are frequently pleasant company for different people or under different circumstances. "Secretly nice" is rarely a thing, so much as our views of that person are shaped to expect mean behavior, so when we see them acting nice, it comes as a pleasant surprise, and the cruel jabs are just par for the course.

Obviously, Springtrap just can't win this mental fight with Marionette. He wants him to be at his level but he couldn't because Marionette isn't the kind of person to be angry by words alone. Surprisingly, Marionette acts more like an adult while Springtrap acts like a rotten child!
