Actually in the anime itself , sometimes he's look beefy, sometimes not ^^ (Because the animator fault ^^ )

Look like explosive ? yeah, I choose to draw explosive background because Drillmax can transformed into tank ( With drill on his peak ^^). Tank is very related with explosive background isn' it ?

Yeah, and unfortunately his weapon's are rarely exposed in the series ^^
To be frank, i want to say Exkaiser story was more lighthearted and dumbest than Transformer ^^
But, i think Space Pirate Geistar's are more resemble with Renegade's from Gobot's than Decepticon itself ^^

That is true, his toy has a lot of play value, with his drills able to come off as melee weapons, the gimmick of the twin chest Gatling guns flipping out and overall weapons he has, such a great toy and character!
I agree with you.
Although I really like the overall new take that Takara wanted to establish. I love the art and action in the series but the story could of been alot stronger, maybe explain more on their origins and where they lived before would of been cooler.
That's a interesting comparison and understand. Their designs are so cool which makes me like them a lot and they do make you laugh for comedy but when we see Dino Geist, that is the best thing I love seeing because his so awesome looking, and dangerously strong, fitting for villain leader!

Yeah, i'm agree, his design and toys are great
But, I don't sure if he great character or not, because among the max team his character development is very flat ^^( About character development, Dashmax is more better than him )
Yeah, it will better if creator also explain their origins. ( In my opinion, look like they are come from some planet which inhabited by spirit's creature )
Yeah, Dino Geist is fitting for villain leader XD. ( Although i still don't understand why he commanded his underling to stole ciggarete XD )
Speaking about Dino Geist, look like in the early concept, Takara want him to become Grimlock ( Look his face and his transformation, it was abit resemblance with Grimlock. Except Grimlock isn't triple changer )
And Exkaiser, i'm not sure, but probably in the early concept Takara want him to become Rodimus . his face and his logo on his chest ( Before replacing by lion face ) has some resemblance with rodimus

Yes that's true, more the support character that they didn't get around to developing more, which is strange since they had so many episodes to do so, oh well.
Yeah its odd. Oh that's a great opinion and think so too and they would have very different robot/alt modes designs. Because they used animals for the Kaisers on some of their designs to symbolize what kind of characters they were then that became a theme throughout many of the rest of the Brave series but still would be interesting to see some possibly early designs like they did a bit with Transformers G1 with their futuristic Cybertronian modes.
He sure was! Haha I think in Japanese anime/cartoons they sometimes go beyond boundaries unlike overseas cartoons which wouldn't risk doing for negative influences which makes watching anime fun since its different and his the villain, he does the opposite from good haha.
Yes I heard about that. His toy dino and jet mode remind me of the G1 Decepticon Headmaster Triple Changer "Snapdragon" quite similar, only Dino Geist comes with 2 cool chrome swords!
I understand, I think he does a little too, only Exkaiser is a stronger and confident leader who has a lot more experience but his alt mode is like Hot Rod's, sleek futuristic sports car!
Overall I love the series and toys, it feels very G1 style to me with the designs, animation, and characters.
