IMO, I think his artworks looks so professional/serious business so viewers can't help but fav+, majority don't even bother to comment... so that's why so less comments around. Another reason maybe his numerous artworks in gallery are equally amazing, so people tired to comment every each one, then they just fav

I dunno, I don't really find either of those a valid excuse. ._. I am used to seeing pictures with this many views/favs to have at least 1/10th the amount of the favs in comments too haha

Yeah, I don't mean to answer that actually, and it depends on what that pictures looks. They're both great but deviants tend to comment more on some certain category, such as fanart or anime more than other.. also some art style get more comments than other even they're both amazing.
