Allright, so here's finnaly a new artwork uploaded after 3 weeks, and even more if you don't count the dA ID I uploaded.The only reason it took so long was becouse I was very busy with school and birthdays (and it's parties. Also, since it's almost March now, and there are alot of birthdays in March, mine aswell, it won't get any better, I guess D: )
Anyways this was drawn yesterday, while I was visiting my family. I drew it with my new Coal Pencilset, wich works really great ( I love them really much <3).
As you can see I finnaly finished a background. I really felt like drawing one, I did it partly as a practise for the new project I'm starting on March 11 as exam-project for the special art classes I have and also the size of the sheet wasn't too big, so I didn't get too lazy; it was only an A5 sheet
Well about the drawing; I like steampunk. Alot. Really way too much XD And so I tried to make it Steampunk-ish, altough I failed horribly. Zeppelins fail, houses fail (also partly since I didnt have a ruler there, so I had to draw by hand, and I'm not even used to drawing backgrounds) and well, I feel like there's something awesome missing at her coat. The things I do like are her socks. I bought the same ones a week ago on a Fantisy and Gothic fair, and I'm planning on wearing them together with some shorts when the weather gets a bit warmer (Only they are a bit too tight on the top, but I'll just have to stretch them a bit, then they'll fit).
I hope you like it, please favourite it when you like it, and also please commant to give some critique or stuff. Anything is good, since it can help me alot.
That sure was a long description. XD And I finnaly tried to write a bit better, by watching my grammar and such. It's becouse I've been reading alot of FanFictions lately (mostly USxUK [hetalia]) and I feel like I might try to make one too, once I get some good plot figured XD Ofcourse I'll make it atleast Shounen-Ai, but it might turn out as Yaoi aswell XD
Now I finnaly finished my craptalk

I might color it, but I'm not sure yet. Depends on how much people like it and if they think I should make a computer-colored version. So if you want, or don't want, please comment ^^

(omg really i mean, lol i dud use some small notebook as to keeo the tines straight, but it made it impossible to look at how striaght and coorect the lines were :/ )

Well, you wanted a critique, and I know how hard those are to come by. ^-^
When you're having trouble with what the details should be, remember to go back to basics. I know this is steampunk, but ask yourself what steampunck is, what are the various influences to make it unique? Then go back and research those inspiration streams. Look up Victorian housing and styling and do a bit of research into technical specs and your accuracy will improve ten-fold!
And you color traditionally? My hat goes off to you!

haha yeah good idea! i mostly dont draw backgrounds because i'm too lazy, but whatever i DO have to do research. rightnow i've got more research done on zeppelins and all, but yes they housing is a briliant plan to start... and i love doing research so there shouldn't be a problem XD but i DID notice as for cloths and the like, it's hard to find the right references and pictures and all... but i look around everywhere XD
lol well i did with the drawing i told you about, mostly i draw/colour on my computer since its faster, easier, less messy, ctrl+z, etc XD... the drawing's in my galery from when it was only a sketch,,, it's the most recently uploaded drawing... rightnow the inking has been done and the girl has been fully coloured, and i must say im kind of proud of the results; it's a lot better then my usual traditional colouring, and ive not done it since a year orz (school is busy) so iw as kind of happy how it turned out, but i still have to make the bg, and im not fully sure what to make of it yet... but it has to be an inside-setting... but i'll figure something out, ive got multiple ideas, and i'm going to keep the background blurry and darkish, making sure the girl does stand out, and i will sketch first, then colour etc >.< i hope i dont screw up xD it could ruin the drawing...

YAY~! Can I give you just a few tips? Because I am such a lazy person I haven't post it before Look who's talking about tips! XD
Well.... The hands are a bit strange and the pose looks a bit stiff.... Just practice drawing them every time you get to do so and you'll get better~! ^3^ I sucked at drawing hands and poses and specially anatomy and sucks until now

Heheehhe~ Drawing men is really difficult.... They don't have many curves and have a more square shape.... You don't know how much I failed when I started drawing humans! (inner me)You still FAIL!
