With a heavy sigh, Shepard slumped against the padded seat of the shuttle next to Garrus. Her muscles ached and she felt gross covered in sweat and copious amounts of alien blood, some of it her own. She was glad to be done and over with finally helping Grunt complete his Rite of Passage. Soon they would be back on the Normandy and she could finally take a shower. Shepard closed her eyes and sighed at the thought of a warm shower, it sounded absolutely heavenly; and before she even knew it, she had fallen asleep against Garrus.
"Commander?" Garrus said with a startled tone, "Are you alright?"
No answer.
"B-Bella?" Garrus always felt uncomfortable calling the woman by her first name. Her name didn't fit his mouth quite as well compared to when Kaidan said it. But Shepard responded, startling the Turian as she softly murmured something unintelligable and snuggled closer to him.
Oh spirits! This isn't right, Garrus thought to himself. This isn't my place.
His mandibles twitched nervously as he realized how close he was to the commander, and his collar began to grow hot. And yet, Garrus got a feeling deep in his gut that this was how it was meant to be.
Kaidan left Shepard when she needed him most, and Garrus had been there to pick up the pieces, he always would be. It was his duty as Shepard's squadmate, and as a her friend. He would always be there for her.

GAH. I swear one day I'll learn how to properly draw Garrus.....and armor while I'm at it.

To because when I geek out about Mass Effect, she actually understands what the fuck I'm talking about.......and geeks out too >w>
