I sold my recent pic of Smoke and Fire at my store that I go to and got 15$ for it (YAY!!!) now I'm seeing about get another picture up for sale. now in true I had NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!!! the background was something I had no idea what to come up with. my friend suggested copying part of the picture and doing this, but i have no idea if it looks good. I wanted to kind of copy the darker version of that 'special plane' that Celestia and Twilight were in.... but I have no idea if I did it right... and was trying to form stars and stuff and glowy things(and found out there is a point star brush on photoshop T_T' )anyway what you guys think? yay or neigh? this would be a print

I like it, but I feel like you should stick to one medium when doing work like this. It creates a more harmonies connection.

Hmm but what can i do? I dont know what to do for backgrounds on some of these. Aka this be just white if i took it away... the last one i lightened the backround to take away the contraditing nature of photosbop... maybe I'll lighten this too... I'll tinker away with this i guess :3

I just think that if you did the background on photoshop, you should the image on photo shop as well, or if you did the image in pencil crayon, you should do the background in pencil crayon as well.

I know what ya mean XD technically the smokr and flame picture was 90$ donr in drawing form and 10% was a lightly coloured background. I just cant think of a background for this for the original picture, it kind of has a mini background with each character...
i might try something similareto the last pic, draw crystal, and smoke as if its wrapped around them in a frame... i just dont was it touching the original... I'll think of something
