ok... this took..... 5-6 hrs? at least 2 hrs for each pony....ALSO this is only an idea that if celestia had her own tantabus that it be fire, which be like Solar Flare... or Nova... or whatever that alternate Evil Celestia I think
ANYWAY thought it be cute to draw two tantibuses dancing around, and it came out pretty darn well, sadly I can't make stars on pencil crayon but I can see about something maybe later? anyway, I really do love the contrast on this picture ALOT now I can go to bed and enjoy myself :3art is mine do not replicate!!!!

Lol no just have to plan ahead. For example, on the shadow tantabus, there are 4different purples and one dark blue (indigoblue) and the fire tantabus it has 3shades of yellows, 2reds and 2-3oranges. (I forget... i was a bit buzzed and sleepy)
As was, i wasnt sure how i was going to do their manes, and fur and still had to make the different in contrast(or that was plan).
Some pointers i guess: with fire just outline the edges with darkest red you got and in this case use yellow to start from the middle. I kind of drew yellow in the area where the body would be and work your way out with darker shades turning to red. Blending takes practice, and you might need to go over the picture in the areas that change from yellow to orange to orange to red with a solid orange to make it blend together . (That took 2hrs) purples are a bit more simpler and probably took less time but i did do 2 different layers of purple till i got the desired colour for the mane. Then i just used indigo for the body to make it seperate.
Tl:dr takes time and multiple colours but if you have the time and energy it is easy

Oh wait your the wrong person oops >~< I was talking about an adopt thing That a group is doing. Kay. I have prismacolor colored pencils. Should be a bit easier. The red I have. Darkest is a maroon color.

Yep that will work(in my kit i have crimson lake and crimson red) but ya it just takes time to practice i say draw a small flame and practice blending from center being yellow & outline the border with red and try blending the inbetween also good practice if you use only red orange and yellow. This will help practicing pressure on paper. :3
If you can get fire to work any colour can be done the same way

Good. I posted a pic for practice. Does it look ok? I think I got the hang of it a bit. And yeah, I know this guy. DA is called lyletherooster. He is real good with blending. I met him in person. He showed me his account. Artwork. But I'll keep trying. Real hard.

Ya what you got started so far is great. You got the orange and yellow good and i do see the outline of red. Now you just have to put more red, just work your way from outside towards center (but midway to the center should be more the enough, you still want the yellow to show)
