Let's agree to disagree on this one.

And in my cause, extreme religious people have been trying to shove their ideologs down my throat. I believe in evolution like anything doing with science, but I don't still keep myself evolutionist, because evolutionists are crazy. And I hate crazy people, no matter what they are. Even if I disagree with you, you seem sane.

LordElthibar In reply to tultsi93 [2016-08-09 19:04:53 +0000 UTC]

Tell me about it. Heck, these people don't even realize that these 'converts' could just be lying or only going through the motions not really knowing what it means to be a Christian, like the WBC. Heck, I'm glad that the WBC, that horrible organization that has the nerve to call itself a church doesn't have power because they would be worse than the highest casualties of the inquisition in the Middle Ages. Even in the Spanish inquisition, only around 3 to 5 thousand people were executed in 250 years.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

tultsi93 In reply to LordElthibar [2016-08-10 06:45:38 +0000 UTC]

OMG, I also hate WBC! It's homophobic, transphobic, atheophobic and racist. (Religious discrimation is counted as racism in the law text. Not sure about United States, but in Finland it is.) I'm also happy it doesn't have power, because if it had, then this planet wouldn't be safe anymore. Even the Spanish inquisition killed less people, like you already said.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

LordElthibar In reply to tultsi93 [2016-08-10 15:47:30 +0000 UTC]

Yep. Plus there was even a Christian who put a video called Christian vs. WBC and he spoke of correcting people in love. Heck, I would actually be more loving towards homosexuals than the WBC because the WBC is making me look bad. It's like the Scripture said, "Not all who say 'Lord, Lord' will enter the kingdom of heaven."

"Congratulations! Your MONKEY evolved into HUMAN!"

That statement alone tells me how ignorant you really are, & how you don't know jack about evolution. No person said we came from monkeys. That's something ignorant faith-believers came up with after only hearing "monkey", dozed off, & then "human" during science classes, since they're too much of idiots to pay any real attention to evolution.

Apes are our CLOSEST relatives, NOT direct descendants. We shared a common ancestor in the past (the closest thing between an ape & a man), which again, doesn't automatically mean some ape shat out a man. Why don't you do some real, extensive studying on evolution before making such ignorant comments.

Evolution has plenty of proven facts. It is a fact, whether you want to believe it or not.

Kaasusumu In reply to Frisby-2007 [2018-06-08 18:04:44 +0000 UTC]

That's very true. Even though I'm on the side of science, I never believed that we directly evolved from apes. That also comes with questioning why there are still apes today if that was the case.
I read an interesting fact that said we share 50% of our DNA with bananas and when I saw that, I went: "so why aren't they saying anything about us being descended from fruit?"
Yeah, way too stupid. XD

Can you please stop being so butthurt about it?

"UR SOOO IGNORANT!1!1!1!"Β
First of all,it was a JOKE.
I was joking about how evolution works in fictional worlds like PokΓ©mon, and that type of evolution would anyway be much different than the "real" one (I don't believe in either. And NOT because I'm Christian.)

"IT WAS A FAECT!!1!11! U EEGNORANT!1!"
I know it doesn't match at all with the bullshit you're saying,BUT,just to make an example: lots of vegans tell that veganism is healthier for us,and prove us with SCIENTIFIC FACTS.
But ANYWAY,I won't listen to those "facts" and will always continue to eat meat and stuff.
Not ALL "facts" should be rightly believen...or else, you're just a hypocrite.Β
Anywah, yeah,I've proven a "fact": you can't take jokes.
Or maybe you just aren't a PokΓ©mon fan.

U mad bro? You seem so pissed! Indeed, atheists are always pissed off, whether a person has said.
You really seem sooooo offended with what I've told, and so I've deducted that you're such a crybaby.
There are lots of fucking people in the world who believe in creationism as well, and you're going to attack ME? I haven't made nothing hurtful to you, jackass.
I leave. Have a nice day.

PS: If you happen to not be able to reply because I've blocked you, don't go crying and call your mommy. I've blocked you because you're a pissed off,butthurt,rude,know-it-all atheist who can't take a joke and calls innocent people "ignorant" with no reason.

Actually, it is a fact. Evolution has plenty of evidence to support it (keyword: evidence), & whether you like it or not it is a PROVEN fact. So unless you have real evidence to say it isn't a fact (again, EVIDENCE is the keyword here), I don't care what you'll say otherwise.

The bible or your faith isn't proof of jack either, because it's just a bunch of unsupported verses written by schizophrenic sheep herders who barely knew what a cloud was, much less their own land.

Slimey-Slime In reply to Pevlita [2016-05-11 22:38:56 +0000 UTC]

16 feet tall people exist, god said "LET THERE BE LIGHT" thus the sun was first, not planets, and i never read in the bible 2 penquins that walked earth.

So yeah, study the bible.

Pevlita In reply to Slimey-Slime [2016-05-14 11:22:30 +0000 UTC]

16ft tall people would die at a very young age because their bones woudn't handle this much pressure. In Bible, these guys were immortal.
And it was a 13ft tall race, sorry. But ame with them.
The tallest humen was 8'1".
PLANTS, not PLANETS. Also - how did your god create light before source of it?
Also:
1. Tree tall enough to be seen by everyone?
2. Sun orbiting Earth?
3. Birds before reptiles.
4. Walking on water, changing water into vine.
5. 969 year old man.
Aaaand we keep on finding evidence that evolution is real and creationism is not.
You are a piece of stardust, not clay.

It disproves existence of Christian God, which leads to disproving of creationism. Evolution has more proof, from fossil fuels and bone fragments to anatomy and DNA. Horses had toes, but due to evolution, they have hooves. Clear? I hope so.

A lot of people seem to forget that there is a difference between microevolution and macroevolution. Micro- is the evolution within a species (beagles, poodles, and chihuahuas, or lions, tigers, and domestic cats), while macroevolution is the change from one species to another (lizards evolving into birds).

Micro- has been clearly proven, but macro- is still sketchy.

According to the scientific method, it can only become fact if it has been repeatedly confirmed through multiple observations and experiments.
Β www.physics.smu.edu/pseudo/Sci…

Finding evidence that supports a hypothesis doesn't make it a fact. The evidence can be interpretedΒ to support a theory. Technically Evolution isn't a theory either, because it hasn't been tested.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Frisby-2007 [2016-01-09 11:10:43 +0000 UTC]

According to those anti-evolution idiots, it cannot be possible because it takes long years for something to change into another (i.e. If we came from monkeys why are there still monkeys?). So by that logic an ape must shit out a human being right in front of others in order to prove it's true. If that's the case, tell me Bible thumpers, if we came from dirt then why is there still dirt? Get it? Of course you don't, because that's not how evolution even works, dumbasses. I'm positive apes themselves wouldn't want to to evolve into an idiotic religious person like most present here.

We have PLENTY of proof of evolution, from fossil records, to archeological evidence. You know, stuff that EXISTS. And just to out the nail on the coffin to creationist bullshit, there is now CLEAR EVIDENCE of fish who have adapted feet so they could walk outside of water. Then we have domesticated dogs, who came from WOLVES.

One can't say evolution isn't real just because you don't understand it. "I don't understand evolution at all, now let me tell you why it's wrong." <--- Ray Comfort logic. If you try to say evolution is wrong just because you're too dim to even understand the basics of it, then you're just as big of an idiot as Ken Ham, Ray Comfort, & Kirk Cameron.

To say evolution isn't real "because God" is the equivalent of telling me Krampus exists "because mom & dad said".

"Evolution is a theory, and it's a theory that you can test. We've tested evolution in many ways. You can't present good evidence that says evolution is not a fact." - Bill Nye.

AgentKay004 In reply to Corvus-the-Snark [2014-11-05 04:58:00 +0000 UTC]

I'm not a sad person! I've never been happier in my life since I found Jesus Christ.

Let's just say back when I believed in evolution, it gave me very dark thoughts. But now reading the Bible, I now know what is truth.
So yeah, being on extreme ends on both sides, I can fairly say evolution cannot in any way coexist with the Bible, specifically the Book of Genesis.
The Bible says the world was created in seven days. Evolution says million of years. How can those two fit together? It simply doesn't.
There are many other instances of conflict between the two. The big problem is the matter of sin and death.

Adam and Eve were created in the beginning, meant to live forever in a totally perfect world. But then Adam sinned and death and suffering was introduced to the world. But later, Jesus came for us to defeat sin and death by being crucified, buried and rising up on the third day.
For since by a man came death, by a man also came the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ all will be made alive.
1 Corinthians 15:21-22

This isn't possible at all with evolution. Death and suffering was already there, apparently. Then there's no need for Jesus.
So yeah, this is my view along with thousands of individuals who I'm sure are happy people.
