Basically, according to the bible, we are all going to hell.
Really now? Then what for did God then send His son, Jesus, here to die in the cross? Yes, per se we're all heading to Hell, but the Bible does mention forgiveness and rebirth which can save us from that. Therefore, whetever it's true or not, whetever one belives it or not, nobody should say that there's no salvation included in the Bible. Or have I perhaps missed something?

in fact, after you read the bible, yahweh sounds like that bully from elementary that beat you up, stole your lunch money and said he 'wouldn't be your friend' if you didn't give him your snacks
I ask you: do you want a friend that constantly treated you like crap, constantly said you were inferior to him, that he's always right and you have to constantly appeal to his authority and ego or else he wouldn't be your friend anymore and you would deserve to die and be tormented for that?

I can't agree more. The bible is nothing more than a tale of a creature seeing the corrupt ness of a big bully and being cast away. The bully wanted everything to go his way but left it up to us despite being divine and all powerful. Then when people decide they don't want to be bullied anymore he kills them and sends them to hell. Sounds like god is the antagonist of the bible.

Sad part about it is that I used to be one of them. My parents brainwashed me at birth. I learned that Religion is literally a fog over your eyes, preventing you from living your own life to the fullest, and preventing you from gaining knowledge about the world around you. I wish I knew God didn't exist much sooner...

I'm sorry... I'm lucky I don't have to go to church just yet, but my parents are contemplating it. My brother knows I'm Atheist though, he slipped up to my mom about it and I got to see her reaction.... wow... I mean, of course I denied it, but she freaked out completely. I think she's sceptical about my faith now.

It sucks! You'd think the Christian faith being "the moral of humanity" would be more understanding that their own children sont believe in it. I mean they should be proud that they're child isn't so willing to subjugate themselves that easily. Idk Christians will always be the most irritating religion. At least Buddhists and Hindus keep it in their country and home and don't force it on other people.

Funny, my parents did just the opposite. They figured that religious topics would exacerbate my anxiety (I was afraid of everything when I was little), and they only ever talked about such things when I asked them about it. I've never read the Bible, but from what I've heard, read, etc. it just sounds like a collection of outdated ideas that have somehow survived and are still in use to this day. I don't remember my parents ever telling me that the Bible contains the truth about these spiritual matters, and I have no reason to believe it does.

Isn't that the reason any religious person does good deeds anyway? Not saying some of them aren't actually good people, but the whole premise of good deeds is for you to go to Heaven and you won't be punished for not kissing your god's ass.

You're sidestepping the issue. If they're one in spirit, then they are one, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The body is just a vessel. Just because they have multiple bodies, they still have the same soul and therefore are one entity.
You should stop listening to what your parents and your congregation tell you and start reading the bible and thinking for yourself.

Answer this question: Which one do you think is the good guy, and which one do you think is the bad guy? The one who wants you to enjoy the life that was given to you to the fullest, or the one who wants to force you through threats of torture and violence to waste it in suffering and ignorance? Keep the question and your answer in mind, I'll return to it later.

Anyone who tells his children to slaughter and torture each other like this is a sadistic psychopath. Why would a loving god make all of these horrible things happen? The God of the Bible is a horribly evil, sadistic character, even if you don't count all the slaughtering, he tells you to resist your natural impulses and all pleasures in life so instead you can waste your life away. He'd rather you have a life devoid of pleasure or knowledge, instead full of suffering and ignorance. He tells you that all the sources of joy and happiness in your life are impure, evil, sinful, and must be resisted. Sounds like something the bad guy would do. Satan, on the other hand, tells you to enjoy your life and to pursue knowledge. Sounds like something a loving being would tell me, after giving me life, a loving god would tell me to enjoy it, instead of waste it away in servitude to his ego.
Also, just during the Bible, God killed more than two million people, mostly for idiotic, superficial reasons, while Satan only killed ten . God is a genocidest who uses horrible means of violence to control how you live your life He supposedly gave you.
Returning to the question in the beginning, it makes much more sense that the good guy would want you to enjoy the life that was given to you, and the bad guy would do anything to waste it away, no matter how horrible the means.
