Goompa repairing the balcony.The image above is a screenshot from the game Paper Mario for the N64 with some or all of the original textures replaced by updated versions I created.
New Paper Mario is a retexture project for the original Paper Mario game for the N64.
It will be playable on an emulator and my goal is to replace every existing texture in the game, thus giving it a new look.

How come you chose to retexture this game? It's personally my favorite game (though I stopped playing video games for the most part about 5 years ago), but do you really like it too? Or is it just a chance for a fun project?

Well, first of all I really like it. But another point was that because the game doesn't use 3-dimensional characters I'm able to make a much bigger improvement than in any other N64 game that is in 3D.

When Goompa turns, is the hammer seen "hovering" in front of him like Goombella's Tattle Log?

The first think that strikes me odd in this picture is Mario's head. The space between the right eye and paper edge is to small. I would recomend lessing the border by that side. (Just my thought anyway)
The porch looks really good. But the stick holding up the cloths... don't you think that couldve been... more conneted?

No, I can't fix the hanger, because of the way the N64 handles textures, that's the best I can get.

This version of Mario's actually an old one. I recently updated him. Not much changes, but an improvement nonetheless. 
His new appearance will be shown as soon as I upload some new pics.
