Why ? Why did it had to happened just before her turn ? Caelyne sighed as she was waiting at the entrance of the arena. She started to make the run again in her head, trying to get rid of this unpleasant conversation she just had with her... Ex now ? Boyfriend, Aoi, some minutes before. Why ? Why did he suddenly decided to bring up the fact that their break has to become a break-up just now ?! It was not like it was unexpected or what, after all, their relationship was chaotic and all since the beginning, but... It was still unexpected and especially because Aoi was the one who was looking more invested than her in their couple. She bited her lips. Was it her fault ? After all, she only followed Eryn's and Vitany's advices, and so took her distances and showed herself not that close to not have too high hopes about her relationship with him but... The woman was now feeling like she messed up and loose him by acting like that. He didn't bring any of her behavior as an excuse for their break-up, but... Still. That's when she heard her name in the speakers that she realized that she was staring in the space. She shook her head and clicked her tongue to make her stallion move forward. It was show-time, not down-time. She leaded her horse to the most impressive jumps then started to trot then galop, waiting for the bell to ring to start her run.
After she heard the so familiar song, her personal matters seemed to disappear for a bit and the first part of the run was going smoothtly... Until the woman reached a jump with a name who was a little bit too explicit for her. "Icebreaker". Well. Was it a message from the stars, meaning that she should have been less cold with him and more warm ? No. It was obviously a pure luck, but the bad was done and she lost her concentration for a second... Which nearly costed her a bar, as she failed to accompany correctly her horses' movements. Luckily, and despite his lack of experience, Orichalque clearly saved them by a wonderful back passing... But the shaking Caelyne felt because of her own error, made her come back to the reality again, and she finished her run without any other mistake.
In the end, she made a small smile, really happy by the run, even if what happened before turned down her mood a bit. As her eyes were wandering on the public's faces, her eyes catched the ones of an unknown tiny asian male, who was looking daggers at her. She frowned, asking herself if this man was not already not far from she and Aoi during their fight earlier... What was wrong with him ? Was he a stalker or something like that ? She glared back at him then started to head back to the exit.
She never had been so happy to have a pick another hotel room than Aoi's one, this time...
