Very good advice.
--
To tell you the truth, even though I have talent, and everyone around me praises me, I am also jealous myself of MUCH BETTER artists.
There are artists that achieve certain styles that have made them really popular, there are artists who draw Marve-Comics-realistic, there are artists who draw Disney style, artists who draw realism, etc. I can't quite achieve what they can achieve. I'm only good at drawing cartoons. That's about it.
--
But rather than being envious about their success, I at least work with what I have and use it to my full potential to do something great and pleasing for myself, and I am mostly proud of what I do. So it's not that I can't do what those better artists can do, but rather, I have my own brand of special.

Sadly, I am kind of. I'm doing better though. I'm still procrastinating some, but i'm also trying my hardest to get off my butt and get to work. I wants to make my name public, even if it's just a few people that get to know it. I want to be someone's favorite author, just as i've found small names that have become my favorite. I look up to them and other young authors and realize "I can do that too." it may still take a while before anything truly happens, but things are changing. Im planning, i'm trying, and i will eventually do.
Yesterday was a chance, today is a new chance, and the future is a fresher chance waiting.

This is amazing and well I suppose I needed that. I've always had a few issues regarding this topic. And I know that it will pass me by if I keep wallowing in pity about not being the best artist, but you know I just go on and sit back down because I am younger than a lot of these amazing people. But even then I look at everyone's amazing art works and I just procrastinate.
And sometimes we need other people to remind us not to.
So thank-you for making this comic.
OH AND!! THE DIFFERENT WAYS YOU CAN READ THIS COMIC ARE SO COOL!!!!

Sadly, I am that person. I was. Now I'm trying to be better, finding someone I can look up to. That person is none other than Peter Mason AKA UNiCOMICS. :3

Yes. Even my friends don't like things I draw. It is really painful. But I still draw, even if I think it's pointless.

Strange, but it is still coherent whether read from top to bottom or left to right.

Heh, y'know what? You're on to something there. The right hand column, in particular, reads pretty naturally from top to bottom.

That's pretty damn fantastic, I'd say. If read from top to bottom, then the left column all becomes this build up to you bringing up the topic of the conversation in the top-middle panel. And then emotions run high [B3] and it's clear that you're thinking about this a lot[B2 and B4], and feel strongly about it. And finally, we get to the third column where you get to the actual meat of the topic.
Really, I think it works even better this way. It almost reads more like an actual segment of a speech about envy that you've performing in front of a crowd for. I'm glad I took another look at this one. Brilliant job, and a DD very well deserved!

Ah, it's never too late. So long as you're conscious of there being a problem and are willing to work to rectify it, you'll be fine.

God this cannot be said enough. I completely agree. For me in a way, my envy makes me want to improve my work constantly. Does anyone else feel that way?

I see that less as outright 'envy' and more you being pushed to better yourself when you see other artists' work. It's when you cross that thin line over to envy and your work begins to suffer for it that it becomes a problem.

Yes!!! This is also, I think, a key to being successful in anything in general. Instead of wallowing in bitter feelings after failure and whatnot, you should get out and do something about it!
I just recently figured this out, it's awesome to see someone signal boosting this!
