For me, it has to be white. I can sometimes eat black pudding, but the thoughts of what it's made of often puts me off.

It's an Irish thing. A 'fry' (or 'fry up') is a variety of fried (or grilled) sausages, sliced bacon ('rashers,' as they're called in Ireland), fried bread, white & black pudding (not the same as American pudding, it's meat), fried eggs, baked beans, fried mushrooms, fried tomatoes, lots of bread & butter, etc.
It's incredibly unhealthy.
